Innocent Couple Shocked At What Happens When CPS Worker Goes Rogue

A state social worker deliberately tormented her neighbors with false child abuse claims – claims that resulted in multiple law enforcement visits to the home, police say.

Social worker Beth A. Bond and her fiancé were charged with six counts of making false reports to a state child abuse hotline, court records in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, indicate.

The calls led to late-night visits from police, six child abuse investigations and drug tests for the innocent couple, April Rodgers and Corey Chaney,

The Courier-Journal newspaper reported. To make matters worse, officials with the state Cabinet for Health and Family Services refused to listen to Chaney and Rodgers until police proved the claims were false.

Rodgers and Chaney even were pressured by CPS to sign “prevention plans” designed to prevent abuse.

1 Million Gun Owners Thumb Noses, Violate N.Y. Gun Registration Law

One of the nation’s most ambitious gun registration schemes is a total failure, according to new statistics.

It is estimated that less than five percent of what gun control groups call “assault weapons” have been registered in New York state, more than two years after Governor Andrew Cuomo signed a law mandating it.

All total, 44,485 firearms by 23,847 people have been registered with the state police, The Albany Times Union reported.

The numbers were only released after attorney Paloma Capanna sued the state under the Freedom of Information Law.

State attorneys tried to block the release by claiming a database of firearms information was exempt from that law.

Even though 23,847 may sound like a lot, it is estimated that 1 million people in the state own such a firearm. That equates to a 2 percent registration rate.

Tyranny: Waco Bikers Must Sign Judges Order Not To Sue, Or No Bail 

In a press release from Looney and Conrad Law firm, whom represent many of the Waco bikers who are still incarcerated in the Waco jail, the attorneys have revealed some startling and questionable information pertaining to the bikers bond and term of release from jail.

Earlier today, detainees in the Jack Harwell Detention Center in Waco were told that in exchange for bond reductions, they must sign a document stating the Waco police “had the right to arrest the inmate and that he/she will not file a lawsuit against McLennan County and/or the City of Waco.”

Anyone who is slightly familiar with the Law will undoubtedly see this for what it is, extortion.

The authorities in Waco must know they violated these people’s rights with unlawful arrest and internment and now are trying to cover their tails by making an unscrupulous exchange.

This Is What Public Education Looks Like In A Police State 

Mother and substitute teacher Julie Giles was arrested this week because her son had too many unexcused absences from public school.

Writ­ing on her Face­book page before turn­ing her­self in, Giles said “If any­one feels the need to go public with this feel free to do so….the facts are Sam orig­i­nally had what they consider 12 unex­cused absences, 6 are allowed per year, so he had 6 more than is accept­able, but the doc­tor reis­sued 3 excuses that Sam didn’t turn in, so basi­cally I am being arrested for three days.”

She also noted that her child has all A’s and B’s in school.

WTOC’s Don Logana contacted Screven County Schools Superintendent William Bland, who told him that the school district is working within the law.

“It’s important for these children to be in school and I think the courts recognize that,” he said.

Logana also learned during his investigation that several other parents have been convicted for the same offense at this school this year alone.

Greatest Threat To Free Speech Comes Not From Terrorism, But From Those Claiming To Fight It 

We learned recently from Paris that the Western world is deeply and passionately committed to free expression and ready to march and fight against attempts to suppress it. Feds Steal $16,000 From Innocent Man On Train, Because, Well, He Shouldn’t Be Carrying That Much 

It apparently is no longer safe to carry large sums of cash with you when you travel in America.

Joseph Rivers learned this lesson the hard way when the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) took his entire life’s savings — $16,000 — while he was riding on an Amtrak train in April to Los Angeles. The 22 year old is an aspiring music video producer.

Like many drivers, Rivers was never arrested or charged with a crime. Instead, DEA agents used civil asset forfeiture law to seize the cash he was carrying on a passenger train he had boarded in Michigan. Agents entered the train in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The agents took the cash after asking Rivers a series of questions. When he told them he was going to Los Angeles to make a music video, the agents asked for permission to search his luggage, which was granted. The DEA found the cash and seized it.

Obama’s Fast Track To Tyranny 

Even a broken clock is right twice a day, and every now and then even the occasional Congress critter comes down on the right side of an issue…as long as it affords them some political leverage, that is.

Such is the case in the current fight over “Trade Promotion Authority,” an obscure piece of legislation that is now at the heart of the debate over Washington’s ratification of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).

Trade Promotion Authority, or “fast track negotiating authority” is an authority granted by Congress that allows the President to present trade agreements to Congress for approval or rejection, and stops the treaty from being filibustered or amended. This authority is needed because Congress is in fact given all authority to regulate “commerce with foreign nations” and “lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts, and excises.” The idea (supposedly) is to give the President “added leverage to negotiate trade agreements by effectively assuring U.S. trade partners that final agreements will be given timely and unamended consideration.”

Government Abducts Children When It Doesn't Agree With Your Parenting Style 

Children are unique little snowflakes. Each one is different, with their own strengths, weaknesses and personalities. What’s more, they’re flexible, meaning that there’s not a single approach that works best for any given child. There are a wide variety of educational styles that can work equally well in molding a functional and successful young adult, right?

Nope. Not if the government has anything to say about it.

When it comes to education, you’d better do things the way the government tells you, because if you don’t, they’ll rob you of your children like the sadistic Pied Piper of Hamelin.

A recent example of this comes from Kentucky, where the Naugler family was raising and educating ten children without the help or supervision of the government. The educational style employed is known as “unschooling,” in which children learn through experience with little emphasis on formal instruction (Full Disclosure: the present author is a product of just such an education and feels it did him no harm.)

Report: FBI In Cahoots With VA To Prevent Veterans From Getting Guns 

A new report shows the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) colluding with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to prevent veterans from exercising their Second Amendment rights to bear arms using not only medical information, but banking methods too.

The memo from February 2012, first obtained by The Daily Caller, is entitled “MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS AND THE FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION REGARDING THE NATIONAL INSTANT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK SYSTEM.”

The document states that the VA must provide health-related information of veterans to the bureau:

VA will provide an encrypted compact disc exchanged via mail to the FBI no less than quarterly for, inter alia, inclusion in the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS).

Feds Push For Total Control Of Property Rights: “Government Is Named As The Owner Of All The Water”

Although science fiction often appears to be outlandish on the surface, in reality it is a genre that explores the problems and trends of the present day. By telling a story through the lens of a strange future world, it helps the viewer lower their guard on issues they would rather not address under different circumstances. In that vein, if you look at the science fiction films of any given decade, you can discern quite a bit about the hopes, fears, and dreams of that generation.

So what will the future think of us when they study the entertainment we consume? Surely they’ll scoff at the vapid reality shows, the sports, and the news. But if they really want to get to know us and our culture, they’ll seek out our science fiction movies, and find a veritable library of post-apocalyptic and dystopian works.
